Named after a bird in the crane family and a truly well-designed vape device from the guys at Lost Vape. Lost Vape are renowned for high-quality vape devices, but not so much in the tanks and rebuildable, which is why every device they make are an instant hit.
What to expect from the Grus 100w vape mod
The Lost Vape Grus has tons of features you would expect from a renowned company; it’s a single battery device that takes anything from the 18650 battery (with adapter) to the 21700 battery and comes in several modern and classic styles.
With a battery as large as the 21700, you lose a little portability when it comes to the device; however, with a zinc alloy frame, USB-C charging port and a large colour OLED display, this is one cool device.
Build Quality
Whether you choose a classic look or a modern look, the build quality is second to none. It is a beautifully well-thought-out and designed vape mod with an almost seamless design-build that you can’t really feel the joints in hand.
The Grus is quite tall for a single battery device but weighty (not too heavy) but feels solid in hand, which will suit many vapers. The firing button is positioned for both thumb and finger firers, and the curvature of the device makes it pleasant to hold.

The Grus mod features a unique display, at 0.96 inches and with a slight curve that follows the design of the mod. With a total of 6 colour options and the ability to change the theme in just 2 seconds. It’s a bright screen that’s is easy to read and displays the information you need cleanly.
The Grus basic operations
The Grus does things a bit different here in that it does not have a generic menu. Instead, everything is controlled on the main screen, and you only have 3 buttons to worry about.
The basic operation steps are:
- Device On – 5 click of Fire Button
- Device Off – 5 Clicks of the Fire button, then Centre Button
- Change Power Mode – 1 Click of Centre button highlights Power Mode
- Up Button – Voltage/Wattage/Temperature Up
- Down Button – Voltage/Wattage/Temperature Down
- Up & Centre Button – Locks adjustment buttons. Will Still fire.
- Press & Hold Centre Button – Change display colour.
The 510 Connector on the Grus Vape Mod
With a large diameter 510 connector plate on top of the device, the Lost Vape Grus can be utilised with many tanks and RDA’s from the usual 24mm right up to the 28mm RDA\RTA’s.
This device is more suited to large atomizers and works great with a 24 or 25mm tank or dripper.
Power Output of this 100w mod
With a limited but good 100 watts, this will be enough for most users, but even on a single 21700 battery, continuous 100w output won’t last long; however, there is a USB-C charge port for fast charging, so we would say this is a great device for those that vape under 100w and like to carry about their day.
Regards to the output range, the Grus hits well through all ranges.
